Medieval village church circa 1100 , housing a nationally important 13th century effigy, together with it's fascinating legend.

A Grade II star church with Norman doorway and arches. The effigy is of' 'Lady Constantia' embracing her son John, who were said to have been lost in the forest and found their way to safety by the sound of the church bells. Five acres of land were bequeathed, the income from which supports the bells and a curfew is rung for six weeks during the darkest nights of the year.
