Drop-in and join our History Ambassadors for a tour of the late Victorian School, built in 1898 by architects Goodey & Cressall.

As part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund project 'One Square Mile: Heritage on our Doorstep', St John's Green Primary School is delighted to take part in Heritage Open Days.

This project marks a special occasion in the school's history as we celebrate the school's 125th anniversary. We're opening up our doors, inviting guests to look around our fabulous building which opened on 5 September 1898. Visitors will be able to join our pupil tour guides and discover the building's heritage. We will also be showcasing the school's fantastic archive. If you were a former pupil or teacher at the school, we would love to welcome you back and hope you will share your memories and photographs to help us learn about the school's rich heritage.

A group of paintings by local artist Charles Debenham of the Siege of Colchester in 1648 will also be on display.
