This magnificent church was designed by George Gilbert Scotland was built against the existing 14th century tower. See the soaring arches, beautiful stained glass and hear the wonderful organ

This church is the fourth or fifth on this site. Outside it is sandstone but inside the sandstone is mixed with lighter stone to create an airy impression. The stained glass is beautiful especially the stunning east window, there are historic artefacts from the previous churches including a rare pelican lectern. See a curious memorial to the novelist Mrs Craik and view the beautiful carved reredos in the Lady Chapel.
The organ is a fine instrument which has recently been fully refurbished and can be heard throughout the day
