Our 1892 Victorian Signal Box will be open on Saturday and Sunday, 7th/8th September. See how railway signalling operated, and how the Signalman moved trains through St. Albans.

Pull levers; ring bells; see our model railway with Thomas and Friends; ride-on railway immediately outside our site. Brand new for 2024: see and operate our huge London North Western Signal - only erected in the last few weeks after restoration. Light refreshments available. Visit our Museum downstairs in the Signal Box, and see demonstrations upstairs of how the Signalman moved trains in his section of track. Also see real trains shooting by at 100mph.
