Six Squares walk around the Georgian Town of Margate.

This is a walk around the old town of Margate, led by local historian Robin Colyer. The walk follows the development of the Georgian seaside resort which grew beyond the Old Town as Margate became more fashionable. The tour follows a trail through Cecil Square, Hawley Square, Charlotte Square, Addington Square, Caroline Square and Trinity Square. We look at the architecture of the town and learn about some of the people who lived and worked in the buildings that we pass. It is an opportunity to look at many buildings that have been restored in recent years.
The walk lasts approximately 90 minutes and is about 2 miles (3.2km) with some hills on the route.
