SGSS Gudrwara - SCCYC Sikh Museum Northampton, 35-37 St James Mill Road, Nortampton, Northamptonshire, NN5 5JW
Visit the newly built landmark glass building in the heart of Northampton. Visitors will be welcomed to free lunch (langar) upon arrival and will learn about the significance of the langar. A talk on the Sikh faith, what happens in a Gurdwara and an instrumental presentation will take place in the Gurdwara prayer hall, followed by a Q&A session.
Guests will then have a tour of the Sikh Museum Northampton which houses exhibitions of the Sikh values, history, heritage objects and artefacts. The exhibitions consist of: Sikhs Identity; Sikhs in World War I; Sikh Weddings; Sikh Music; Inspirational Sikh Women from the 16th Century. Punjabi heritage exhibitions includes Princess Sophia Duleep Singh (Suffragette) and Punjabi culture, history and instruments.
There is a library area for further reading, A Sikhs of Northampton history trail and arts and crafts for younger historians.

Sikh faith etiquette: Please bring a scarf to cover your head throughout the tour. Shoes need to be removed in reception to access the lunch hall and prayer hall. Strictly no intoxications (no cigarettes, drugs, alcohol) on site. Strictly no meat/fish/eggs/animal fat products on site. No pets on premises.
