Sampsons Almshouses
Sampsons Almshouses, West Street, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7AW
A short talk on the history of the Almshouses, and a chance to view the gardens and buildings from the outside. In the 19th century, the Sampson family ran a business in the brewing industry and founded a charitable trust to run almshouses. Originally the trust used buildings sited in Mead Lane. These were later replaced with the current building in West Street, designed in 1934 by Farnham architect Harold Falkner.
