Royal Berkshire Archives Tour
Royal Berkshire Archives, 9 Coley Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 6AF
Come and see behind the scenes of the Royal Berkshire Archives, the Archives of the Royal County. We will take you where visitors are not normally permitted to go - into the archive storage and staff areas. Our conservator will provide details on the work that they do and show you the conservation studio too. You'll discover more more about the services we offer, the collections we hold, and how to visit to use the archives yourself.

No food or drink is permitted in the tour areas. There is step free level access to a disabled access door at the entrance. Unfortunately it is not automated so if you do not have someone with you to push/pull open the door, a member of staff can do this for you. There are free to use toilets available with laminated flooring and hand dryers. There is low level background noise from the air conditioning system and lighting is available throughout. Stairs form part of the tour, but there is a lift available if required.
