English Heritage would like to invite you to a free to enter, Community Supported Open day. We will have guided tours of the Abbey Ruins, talks by Local Community Volunteers and on-site entertainment.

English Heritage @ Roche Abbey are pleased to welcome you to our Free to Enter Heritage Open Day.

During the day we will have guided tours around the 12th Century Abbey ruins by Site Staff, Medieval Music in the Cloister (on authentic period Instruments), A Textile and Dye Expert using local plants as our Monks would have used, Talks on local Flora and Fauna, Mead and Wine tastings and garden games. We do, of course. have a small shop that offers Hot and Cold drinks, Ice Creams and exclusive Roche Abbey merchandise and guide books.

We have plenty of space to bring a picnic but have limited benches and picnic tables. we are very happy for you to bring picnic blankets etc.

We are a dog friendly site (dogs must be kept on short leads).

Directions:
The Abbey can be found down a steep track off the A634 and our access is signposted on the A634 between Matby and Stone, we are also signposted just off the M18 towards Matby, in Maltby and at Oldcotes. We welcome local visitors using the many local footpaths to site especially on the walk from Maltby through the Crags or on RMBC's Doorstep walk from Laughton-en-le-Morthern.

Roche Abbey has limited on site accesible parking, The Ruins are accessible but the site has no paths and all areas inside the site are grassed which can be lumpy and bumpy and have a soft surface when wet.
