Building 40, Main Guardroom, Scottow Enterprise Park, Badersfield, Norfolk, NR10 5FB
The RAF Coltishall Heritage Centre was created to commemorate the only Battle of Britain station to remain a fighter station throughout its 66 year history. Your visit includes the Heritage Centre which tells the story of the Station and includes unique exhibits setting out RAF aerial photo reconnaissance from WW2 to the Jaguar era. The tour of the former RAF airfield visits many sites which saw action from the Battle of Britain, through the Cold War to the Gulf and Balkan conflicts.
The tour, undertaken in the comfort of your own car, will certainly spark the imagination when visiting buildings which still reflect their roles throughout the Station's life. Your guides are all former station personnel so you will hear many of the stories from first hand experience of the Cold War and later. There are plenty of opportunities for photography to capture the unique ambience of this famous station. The on site cafe (subject to availability) provides refreshments and light meals. The RAF Coltishall Heritage Centre has facilities for the disabled.
