Have you ever wandered down Quay Road and St John Street in Bridlington, and seeing a modern building or carpark, wondered what was there previously? Did you know that nine Christian denominations have at some time had churches there?

Quay Road and St John Street have existed for centuries, linking the once two separate settlements of the Quay and Burlington (today's Old Town). The streets resounded to the sound of Roman soldiers marching to the port, saw pilgrims drawn to the Priory, witnessed the peaks and troughs of commercial life, were altered to suit the needs of each era. Buildings came and went or had their use changed. If you would like to know more, a free exhibition is being staged on the history of Quay Road and St John Street on Saturdays on the 7th and 14th of September from 1000 to 1600 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Quay Road.

All are welcome, car parking is available at the rear.
