This event offers the opportunity to look behind the large doors of this striking Classical building in a prominent location in Dudley’s historic core. The main building dates from the early 1800s and was surrounded by substantial grounds. Early in the 20th century, the building was purchased and became the Junior Conservative Club, distinguishing the property from the earlier Conservative Club at Dudley House at the top of Castle Hill. For much of its 20th century life, the building was home to the Conservative Club but now provides attractive office accommodation. Much of the internal decorative plaster mouldings and architectural features are still intact and have been restored. Find out more by viewing the virtual tour and reading about its history in the downloadable information included.
