Prior Park will open for free on 7 and 14 September - come and see the recent restoration and find out more about the archaeology and conservation of the garden.

This year Prior Park is opening for two days to allow visitors more opportunity to see the garden located in the historical city of Bath. Set in the sweeping valley above Bath, the garden was designed and created by Ralph Allen in the 18th century as a landscape garden. This September marks two years since the completion of the dams restoration and we'll be offering additional information for people to find out more about the behind-the-scenes work.

We'll have stations around the garden with details about the archaeology, gardening and crayfish. Come and learn about the discovery of the Bason of water, restoration of cascades and uncovering the Bath House. Find out about the dam restoration project, including the part the destructive American signal crayfish played, and what it takes to reinstate the shrubberies.
