Preesall Saltmines

Knott End Car Park, Quailholme Road, Knott End-on-Sea, Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, FY6 0EA

  • In person

A lovely level countryside walk focusing on the story of the local salt mining industry.

This is a fairly easy walk along tracks and country lanes, to visit the sites associated with the local Salt Mines. The salt mined in Preesall was exported across the world, but almost nothing now remains on the ground. You wouldn't suspect it was ever here.
