A Rare opportunity to have a private tour of parts of the Port at Portland.

A rare opportunity to have a private tour of parts of the Port at Portland, by kind permission of Portland Port Group in partnership with Excelsior Coaches. Focussing on the history of the breakwaters, the harbour, the naval defences and the maritime history of the area. A chance to walk in the footsteps of promenading Victorian tourists along ‘Prince Consorts Walk’ and hear about the wider history of the Port and Harbour.
Attendees must be mobile and able to walk on rough ground. Approximate tour length 1.5 hours
NB: Government issued photo ID and Car Registration is a requirement of this event.

Unfortunately due to the terrain wheelchair access is not possible. Visitors should be aware that they are visiting a secure operational commercial port therefore strict health, safety and security procedures will apply and they should remain with their guide at all times. Visitors should come prepared for walking on rough terrain and will be outdoors, so please dress appropriately for weather conditions of that day.
