A narrated video tour of Pontefract Town Hall and Assembly Rooms.

‘Pontefract Town Hall’ is a combination of two buildings on one site, originally built for the delivery of local administration and justice. The Town Hall is a Georgian Grade II * listed building, fronting Market Place, whilst the Assembly Rooms is a Victorian Grade II listed building, fronting Bridge Street. The video will describe the outside of the 'building' and inside, which contains the original plaster mould of Nelson’s death scene aboard HMS Victory. The mould is one of four scenes, which were used to produce the bronze reliefs at the base of Nelson’s Column in London.
