Pontefract Choral Society, formed in 1874, has had a long and successful history. It aims to make choral music readily accessible to the wider community through live concerts, and to provide the opportunity for local people to develop their musical skills.
What happens when you hear music?
You will hear choral versions of some well known songs from musicals such as West Side Story and Oklahoma, along with songs that may be new to you from modern day composers such as Michael G Martin, who wrote the beautiful melody 'When I hear music'.
