Pie and Paint: A Picture of the Past

Fancy sprucing up your walls with a historic painting of your town? Why not make it yourself?
Join us at the Market Hall for this informal painting class led by an experienced local artist, and paint along to a photograph taken from Cheshire Archives. Grab yourself something to eat and drink, and we’ll provide the rest!
Sign up and on the day you’ll get a canvas with a line drawing based on a historic street scene, as well as the paints, brushes, and step-by-step instructions you’ll need to create your own masterpiece.
You don’t need any previous experience to take part. Beginners and seasoned artists alike can paint and chat in a warm and welcoming environment. We’ll be able to offer advice, tips, and support to make sure you feel confident turning a historic street scene into a work of art.
At the end of this class you’ll have made your own canvas masterpiece that can hang on your wall. Come along and join us for this chance to unleash your inner artist, meet new people, and learn more about the history of our town.
Members of Cheshire Archives staff will be on hand with photos and documents to provide further points of inspiration, offering you the chance to learn more about local history.
