Penistone Paramount

The Auditorium will be open, as will the bar and kiosk. The 1937 Compton Paramount Cinema organ will be on display, with on screen information about the history of cinema and the building. There will be a film poster lucky dip, colouring sheets for kids and quizzes for adults.
Backstage tours visiting the stage area, the organ chamber, the sprung dance floor in the cellar and the projection room - hear about the history and stories of the cinema from the people that know it best! *Each tour limited to 8 people. There is a total of 45 steps to climb.

Accessibility details
Wheelchair access to the main building is through the accessible side door (parking available for this). The Auditorium has room to manoeuvre with wheelchairs and walker and there is an accessible toilet available. Unfortunately, wheelchairs are unable to take part in the guided tours as the non-public areas that are being shown, are narrow, with stairs and have restricted space so are not wheelchair friendly. Parking and access information is available from the Box Office either via phone or email.
