The Oxford University Catholic Chaplaincy is based in the Old Palace also known as Bishop King's Palace. The building was originally constructed in 1485 with another part added in 1622. Designated a World Heritage Site in 1954, the buildings were expanded in 1972 with new modern buildings that now house The Newman Rooms.
