Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God

University Road, Bristol, Somerset, BS8 1SP

  • 14 Sep 2024
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

An opportunity to see the interior of our church, with information available and people to speak to. The church was built in 1888 and converted to use as an Orthodox church in 1968.

Many people walk past our church building but have never been inside. Opening the church outside service times allows us to welcome visitors, who will be able to see how things are laid out and the collection of icons that we have accumulated. They will also be able to ask questions about the building and about how we use it. They will also have the opportunity to see an early work by an architect, Henry Whiteman Rising, who was later better known for designing large public houses in London, several of which are now listed buildings.
