Old St Leonard's Hall, Exeter
Roberts Road, Exeter, Devon, EX2 4HD
Come and join us in exploring Old St Leonard’s Hall just outside the city walls of Exeter.
Not heard of it? Well, that’s not surprising because it has been out of use for many years. Dating back to 1889, the original school and chapel fell out of use and the building was destined to be redeveloped and turned into flats. But, as luck would have it, our friends Katherine and Pier had the chance to purchase the building partly to create a family home, and – excitingly – to dedicate part of the building to becoming an arts venue.
For Heritage Open Days, Old St Leonard’s Hall will open its doors again to the community on Saturday, 14th September. We’ll be running a short talk at 2pm and 3pm. Come along for a chat and cup of tea, and learn about the hall’s history and current use as a modern, zero-carbon, functional and fully accessible venue with a historic exterior, firmly rooted in the local community.
