Mullins House takes its name from former Dorking resident, William Mullins, a local shoemaker and Pilgrim Father, who travelled to America on the Mayflower in 1620 with his wife Alice, daughter Priscilla and son Joseph. The building dates from between 1568 and 1610 and is the only example of a Pilgrim Father’s home still in existence. You will be able to read more about William's journey to the New World printed on canvas and hangs proudly on the original wall in Mullins House.

Since we bought the business in August 2016, we have welcomed various generations of Priscilla and John Alden descendants, in 2019 we visited Priscilla and John house in Duxbury MS and since then we have established a warm relationship with both Alden Kindred of America and the Mayflower society, we have started the process of twinning Dorking with Duxbury. You can read all bout it when you visit us!
