Mere Brow Smithy
29 The Gravel, Mere Brow, Preston, Lancashire, PR4 6JX
Built in 1875, the Mere Brow Smithy was an essential service, with the blacksmiths making and repairing all kinds of tools as well as shoeing horses. It was also an important meeting place within the village. The village blacksmith often also operated as the local dentist and barber!
After years of being used for various other businesses, the building is once again a traditional smithy and heritage workshop.

Due to the small size of the smithy and the fact the smiths will be working, visitors will be restricted to standing at the door.
