Martello Tower P, Heritage Open Day

East Suffolk Council will be opening the doors to the Tower, we will be open to the public from 11am - 3pm.
This event is free but you must register for a ticket online at Eventbrite where you will be added to a groups of up to 10 people as we must limited numbers inside at any one time.
Suffolk Archives will be outside with their event trailer where they will welcome people to come forward with their memories and stories of the site to help form part of our interpretation in the future. They will also provide some family fun craft activities.
Take part in our Heritage treasure trail and win a small prize.
Arts and crafts activities with an "Architectural theme".
Complete our short feedback survey and share you ideas for future use of the Tower.
Entry to the NCI Coast Watch look out cabin on the roof is restricted.
Apologies no dogs are allowed inside the Tower.

Accessibility details

Apologies, this site is for the hardier visitor only. Very limited accessibility. The only entrance and exit is via a steep staircase. Apologies there is no lift. No ground floor entrance. Apologies there is no toilet on site - but there are public toilets approx 3 - 4 minute walk away. Sorry no dogs inside the Tower.

Additional information

The site is not usually open to the public but is open a handful of times for ad-hoc events each year. We welcome your feedback and ideas for the Towers future use.
