Though not technically ‘heritage’, the Biodigester is an important ‘green’ addition to Warminster’s infrastructure that creates electricity out of food waste. Hopefully it will render other forms of electricity generation historic’.

You will be given an explanation of biogas operation and a tour of the plant.
Please dress for the weather and wear sensible shoes. Access to the building is via stairs – we have no lift.

Accessibility details

Parking is only in designated car park (foot traffic or car sharing preferred). Rough ground unsuitable for wheel chairs – prior arrangement required. Report to reception on arrival and proceed up external stair case to visitors centre (no lift available so all visitors need to be able to negotiate stairs). Alternative arrangements will need to be made for wheelchair access. Site access only when accompanied and supervised by designated site staff. No open toed shoes or high heels

Additional information

Visitors will be given a health and safety induction and loaned a hard hat and hi-vis waistcoat. It is a working industrial facility, so wear sensible footwear: sandals or flip-flops will not be acceptable.
