Guided Tours of the building by Blue Badge Guides. Notable mediaeval building, with fascinating architectural features and historical graffiti.

15th century entrance gateway to the former Newarke religious precinct that was later used to store the weaponry and gunpowder of the town's militia during the English Civil War. During the 20th century it was used as a WWI recruiting station. Interesting features of the building include historical graffiti dating back to the 16th century.

Sensible shoes must be worn as there are many steps to climb. Not suitable for children under 7 or people with mobility issues due to stone spiral staircase
