Lowestoft Arts Centre is in the triangle market place, in the historical old high street of Lowestoft Town.
It is the north of the town and the area is connected to the site of The Beach Village known as The Grit. There are echos of the place as you go down to the beach via the scores. Series of steps leading you down to the space where all the homes of the local fishing families lived.
History and model of the beach village can be found in the Heritage centre and there are many books written about the history of the area.
