Literary and Scientific Institute, Bridport

This impressive town centre building with an educational and philanthropic based history was constructed in 1835. It has an interesting and colourful story covering practical and academic training for working people, literature, science, art and latterly as a public library but has been renovated and repurposed for the needs of today. The open day offers you the opportunity to have a guided tour of the building.
