Liskeard Unlocked - A Taste of Ukraine - Connecting with Kopychyntsi Through Food, Song and Dance
The Public Hall, 3-5 West Street, Liskeard, Cornwall, PL14 6BW
We recently twinned with Kopychyntsi in Western Ukraine and we have been sharing traditional songs, dances and food as well as arts and crafts. We are organising twin events to take place at the same time in the two towns and will connect via video link to show our support by playing and singing the Ukrainian national anthem. Local food businesses are providing Ukrainian and Cornish food, Liskeard Silver Band will play, Melodi Liskerrett will sing and the evening will end with a Ceilidh featuring Ukrainian and Cornish dances.
