Lines of Imagination – Art Exhibition on Milton Keynes’ Architecture & Landmarks
Westbury Arts Centre, Foxcovert Road, Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK5 6AA
Farina Noorani creates art as Beyond Images Studio, which is all about her passion for art, architecture & photography. She is a resident artist at Westbury Arts Centre and this exhibition is inspired by the landmarks of Milton Keynes. A relatively newer city, Milton Keynes has so much to offer; from 17th century Farm House and the Code Breaker Hub of WW2 to the post-modernist building for this designed town, which now has the title of a ‘city’. The exhibition aims to give the visitors a glimpse of its interesting architecture in a unique and distinct style and showcase what makes MK so special for its residents and visitors.
Born in Pakistan, Farina graduated as an architect and moved to UK, where she obtained her Masters in Art History and has been creating art ever since. Inspired by architectural spaces and features, Farina aims to document and preserve the grandeur and memory of historical sites and fascinating architectural landmarks through her artwork. She works with mixed media and freehand sketches, juxtaposing them with original photographs to create composite images. Experience of an architectural space is central to Farina’s artistic activity. In her art, she aims to combine the properties of a painting and the spatial experiences of architecture as one composition and evoke what can be seen and experienced beyond the images.
Farina will be available on site during the exhibition to take you around the exhibition and her studio at Westbury Arts Centre.
