Lawrence Batley Theatre / History and Backstage Tour
Queen Street, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 2SP
Discover the 200+ years of rich history within the walls of the theatre. Built as a Wesleyan Mission in the early 1800s, the church was – at the time of building – the largest Methodist chapel in the world. Now grade II* listed, the theatre is jam-packed with fascinating history, notable names and glitter.
During the tour you’ll discover how the building was converted into a theatre in the early 1990s, how the technicians make the shows look and sound great, where the performers get ready to entertain you and so much more!
