A temporary exhibition featuring historic and modern photographs of some of the largely now bygone pubs of Harleston as well as some relevant artefacts.

As a town that hosted huge numbers of drovers, graziers, and cattle merchants that sold their Welsh, Irish and Scottish beasts at the 18th and 19th C markets and fairs we had many pubs catering to men thirsty after 20 days or more on the road or celebrating deals made on a hand shake. Harlston was also one of the main posts for stagecoaches. This exhibition celebrates and marks these Pubs, Beer Shops and Coaching Inns with historic and modern images alongside stories of untoward doings by travellers worse for wear.
