The Library Festival 2024 is a two-day celebration showcasing the work of Lancaster University, its Library and community partners. Enjoy interactive exhibits, engaging activities, insightful talks, and live music from our communities.

We will be once again opening our doors to the public to show how our Library is at the heart of Lancaster University and its local communities. You will be able to take part in activities which explore our publicly available resources; view art installations created through collaborations with our local communities; and attend performances showcasing the range of voices at Lancaster. Key community installations include:

* How does the library inspire you? exhibition featuring works by artists of any age or background who have a connection to the Library. The open call for submissions is open up to the 21st August.

* An installation looking at the stories of refugees in Lancaster developed in partnership with Global Link Lancaster.

* Commissions by artists celebrating the impact of the Jukebox on teen culture in the 1950s and 1960s created during Jukebox: the Teenage Revolution, a project developed in collaboration with local arts charity, Mirador Arts.
