Sitting proudly within Kent's last medieval deer park, Knole offers something for everyone. Immerse yourself in the vast estate and follow in the footsteps of tourists who have visited Knole's showrooms for 400 years.

Originally built as an archbishop's palace, Knole passed through royalty to the Sackville family, who still live here today. Take in the scale and magnificence of the 600 year old estate by exploring the grand courtyards and tranquil Orangery or wander the winding paths in the parkland, still populated by wild deer. Inside the showrooms, art lovers will find paintings by Reynolds, Gainsborough and Van Dyck to admire. Explore the life and loves of former resident Eddy Sackville-West in the Gatehouse Tower and climb the spiral staircase to take in panoramic views from the roof.

Conservation Week will be running at Knole from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 September, during which we highlight how items in Knole's collection are cared for, with visitors being able to see the Collections team at work in the showrooms.

Discover the story of Vita Sackville-West's life at Knole through to her wedding and subsequent (bittersweet) departure in 1913. This story will be brought to life around you with a new multi-media tour guiding you through key moments in Vita's life. Around the showrooms you'll find detailed paper sculpture recreations of the dress worn by Vita at her wedding as well as other outfits, all designed and created by artist Denise Watson, of Delicarta, 'bringing paper to life'. There is also a rare chance to see the original manuscript of 'Orlando', which will be on show in the Ballroom.

Pre-booking is recommended to guarantee entry.
