Rebuilt in Art Deco-Style in the 1930’s, Climb the Escher like staircase to see artists at work in their studios. You can see a special exhibition of artists completed work and work in-progress. There is also the chance to join free taster workshops.

Routes – Networks – Connections are themes which resonates throughout the history of art and creative processes. The theme is also relevant to our work as an arts organisation; our strap line is ‘Connect Share Create’. We feel that art in all its forms is a crucial component of what makes us stand apart from all other living organisms. Art connects us not only to our local communities but also to national and global culture and heritage. Through art we can create opportunities to celebrate difference whilst being united by the common and shared needs of humanity.
A visit to King Street Arts offers a unique opportunity to see the usually private artist studio spaces, talk with the artists and see a range of artwork both complete and in progress. There will also be an exhibition of selected work in our gallery space. King Street Arts is a self-funding arts organisation with a focus on the visual arts. We believe that being moved by art and creating art in all its forms has the power to bind us all together; to see, to share and to feel what it is to be alive. Our focus is to bring art and people together to celebrate the power and energy engaging with creativity can bring into our lives. The project that is King Street Arts seeks to support artists and the public by creating exhibitions and workshops which encourage engagement, stretch boundaries and look for new horizons.
