Learn about the first rugby superstar, the first black professional player, the players who went to war, the great achievements. On your visit, see the 1883 Minutes Book and take the opportunity to see the present players training. We can search our archives for details of past players. See our Hall of Fame. Photographs and artefacts will be on display, including Minutes Books from the 1890s of both rugby and cricket.

- John Charles Sports Centre, aka South Leeds Sports Centre. Off Dewsbury Road, just where Cross Flatts Park starts. Free Car parking in front of main stand . Additional carparking in overflow carpark - as you reach the mini-roundabout, it is on your right. Enter through main entrance - Phoenix Bar is through doors on right then through Dugout Bar to furthest doors in corner. This is the far right of the main stand. To see the training, go straight forward from main entrance. Council-run sports centre, so wheelchair friendly. Event is on ground level. Bar open till 9pm, when event ends. The exhibit is self-guided but there will be knowledgeable volunteers to answer questions. Each player for Hunslet has a Heritage Number. We can check on the night if you were a player and organise your Heritage Certificate.
