Howden's Communication Hub Exhibition

Howden Minster, Cornmarket Hill, Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire, DN14 7BU

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Book on day

Howden is and has been a communication hub for centuries with our two railways, two airfields one of which housed the R100, its bridges, wharves on the rivers, stagecoaches and coaching inns, as well as its home of the Press Association.

We will be having an exhibition of our communication activities in Howden Minster with an extra exhibition on Saturday 14th September focussing on the areas rich agricultural heritage. We will be leading walks around the town's 27 blue plaque buildings on the same afternoon. This is an opportunity to experience Howden's diverse history and to find out about some of the history that can no longer be seen.
