Holy Trinity Parish Church Sutton Coldfield

Holy Trinity Parish Church will be celebrating the national theme - Routes- Networks - Connections, through historical links of people and places as part of Birmingham Heritage Week in Sutton Coldfield which runs concurrently with the Heritage Open Day period.

Our day will be officially opened by local dignitaries and there will be fun activities for all ages including dressing up and photo opportunities. There will also be stalls from local groups and societies, and refreshments to keep you going. Live and recorded music in a range of styles. You will be able to explore our 700-year-old Grade I listed church building (where Bishop Vesey is buried) and our modern Trinity Centre. Weather and height restrictions permitting, you can climb the church tower and see unrivalled views over the town and region. You can also see our ancient sundial and the gravestone of Mary Ashford in the grounds of our conservation site which includes the colourful Vesey Gardens.

Free guided church tours including the churchyard will be on offer.

Accessibility details

Full access to Trinity Centre and to ground floor of church and dais via ramp. The ground floor of the church and dais is accessible, also the tower floor via the West doors. The two galleries and tower are not accessible to wheelchair users or the infirm. Further advice is given at the tower entrance about accessibility of the tower. Access also depends on weather conditions. Online images are available of inaccessible galleries and tower climb.

Parking is limited for this event to disabled drivers, and drop-off area where required. Assistance dogs are welcome in buildings.
