Hear why bee keeping became popular in monasteries and try your hand at hand making a candle.

Rosemary and Robert Snowdon will talk about the history of beeswax use in the past, The production of it in medieval times, the process of moulds to make candles.
There will a demonstration of beeswax candle rolling, also encaustic art and its history.
It is hoped that it will be possible for people to try their hands at these crafts and there will be a question and answer session at the end while enjoying light refeshments.
