Thatched cottages dating from the 1680s housing a local history museum with a delightful cottage garden.

Thatched cottages of timber box-frame construction with brick infill panels replacing the wattle and daub in c1793. Displays on the local history of Hinckley and its surrounding area, including its medieval castle and priory sites and the hosiery and footwear industries. Framework knitter`s cottage room setting with a c1740 knitting frame. Cottage garden and tearoom serving Fairtrade teas and coffee and snacks.
