Heritage Walks, with Loughborough Heritage Open Weekend

Members of Loughborough Library Local Studies Group will lead four walks over the weekend, explaining the stories of Loughborough suffragettes, the WWI zeppelin raid route in Loughborough, Loughborough's art deco buildings and a tour of Loughborough's town centre heritage sites. Each walk will be accompanied by a free information leaflet. We will commence from Charnwood Museum steps in Queens Park, Granby Street, Loughborough and return there afterwards. Car Parking is available on Granby Street Car Park pay and display.
Booking is essential, please book at Loughborough Library main counter during staffed hours or email [email protected] stating name and phone number and which walk you would like to join. Numbers are restricted so book early. All the walks will be of about one and half hours duration. Please wear sensible walking shoes. Please note there are no qualified first aiders on these walks.

If you have special needs of any kind please make sure you state them when booking please bring your carer with you on the walk if you need assistance. We do not have first aid facilities on the walks and can only summon an ambulance. Wear sensible shoes. Toilet facilities are available in the park 7.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, in the Museum cafe Saturday 10am - 4pm. Sunday 10am-3.30pm these times are subject to change but up to date information will be available on the day. Public toilets are available in the town centre Saturday 8.30am – 5.30pm Sunday 9.00am-4.30pm
