Come and explore the interactive, hands on Centre for Computing History for free as part of Heritage Open days. See our working computers and games consoles from the 1950s to today and find out about the people and stories behind the machines.

Visit the Centre for Computing History for free and try out our working and useable computers, games consoles and devices. With displays from the 1950s to the modern day learn about the machines, the people, the stories and the impact of the technologies that have changed our lives.

This is one of the rare museums where almost everything is touchable and where intergenerational conversations are guaranteed! Parents and grandparents can tell the kids how things used to be when they were young and the kids can try it for themselves! From computers that filled a room yet had less power than a modern toaster to some of the greatest video games ever created, come and experience it all.
