Pruden and Smith are a Luxury jewellery designer and bespoke jewellers, blending a history of goldsmithing with nature-inspired designs since 1988. Expect rugged textures, unique patterns, and graceful curves – all handmade in Sussex, England. The Gallery and Workshop building has had a rich and varied past, from an Arts and Crafts printing press to a village butcher. For the 2024 Heritage Open Days theme ‘Routes - Networks - Connections’ Pruden and Smith will be exploring their connections to the Arts and Crafts history of Ditchling. Discover not only how Pruden and Smith create their iconic jewellery, but also how they are connected to the old iron hand-operated Stanhope printing press which is now on permanent display at The Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft. As well as a live tour of their gallery and workshop, the tour will also include a display of artworks and artefacts relating to Pruden and Smith’s fascinating history.

There are two steps to enter the gallery. A portable ramp is available upon request. The workshop is in the basement and can only be accessed via a flight of stairs.
