Hazlehurst Studios Open Day
71 High Street, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 1AH
On Thursday, 12th September, you are invited to be part of Heritage Open Days, England’s largest festival of history and culture, by visiting our recently renovated Grade II listed building at 71 High Street. Renovated in late 2022, we received the keys in early 2023. Additionally, you can have a peek at our original premises at 73a High Street, which adjoins this newly refurbished building.
Heritage Open Days is a fantastic celebration of our shared history and culture, with thousands of volunteers across England organizing events that allow the public to discover hidden gems and enjoy unique experiences – all completely free of charge. This festival is a wonderful chance to engage with the rich tapestry of our nation’s past and appreciate the efforts to preserve it.
During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see our latest exhibition, which showcases a diverse range of artworks by talented local artists. You will also have the chance to meet our resident artists, who will be on hand to discuss their work and creative processes.
Throughout the day, we will offer taster workshops, giving you a brief but engaging introduction to various artistic techniques. If these pique your interest, you can book more comprehensive workshops scheduled for future dates. This provides a wonderful way to explore new skills and dive deeper into the world of art. Additionally, there will be artwork available for purchase, allowing you to take home a piece of our local culture.
