On Sunday 8 September, visit Hatchlands Park house and garden as part of Heritage Open days. Explore the tranquil parkland with its ponds, wildflower meadows, open pasture and ancient woodland. Families can enjoy the natural adventure area complete with balance beams, a treehouse and a bug burrow. On Sunday afternoon you can take a peek inside the Georgian mansion. Originally built for naval hero Admiral Boscawen, it has seen many different residents over the years. Today it is home to tenant Alec Cobbe and his collection of fine furniture, paintings and instruments owned or played by famous composers such as Chopin and Elgar.
