Three of its bishops became saints, two were burned at the stake and one became the Pope who refused Henry VIII his divorce. They have amazing stories to tell and their history alongside that of Hartlebury Castle is inextricably linked with the history of the nation. Directions:
Hartlebury Castle's driveway is located next to The White Hart pub, opposite the church. As well as car, Hartlebury Castle can be reached by bus and train. Bus number 303 operates between Kidderminster and Worcester, Monday-Saturday. Hartlebury Castle is a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest bus stops (The Birches or Wilson Road). For bus timetables, please visit: http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/info/20021/bus_travel/1001/bus_timetables. The nearest railway station is Hartlebury, approx. 1 miles / 1.6 km from Hartlebury Castle (approx. 20-30 minute walk). Train times vary.

Accessibility details

There is level access to the playground and board walk. Some areas of our grounds include narrow, uneven natural paths and gravel. These may not be suitable for all wheelchairs or pushchairs. There is one lifts in each wing of the Castle, the south wing lift is not suitable for mobile scooters.

Additional information

Dogs are welcome in the grounds and reception, however not in the main building. Please keep them on a short lead.
