Handsworth Old Town Hall

Handsworth Old Town Hall, 20 Slack Lane, Handsworth, Birmingham, West Midlands, B20 2JL

  • 14 Sep 2024
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

This 15th century building is a rare example of cruck construction still in an urban location and is run as a small community museum with many maps, photographs, books etc relating to aspects of Handsworth in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

We currently have displays on Toys of Yesteryear and some local Soho Road shops as they were in the 1930s. In line with this year's theme (Routes, Networks and Connections) we plan to feature early 20th century links between world-famous music composers and Handsworth, as well as examples of transport development in the area.
