Halton Heritage Partnership: A Love Letter

Inspired by this year’s theme of ‘Routes – Networks – Connections’, this intimate performance piece has been commissioned by Halton Heritage Partnership (HHP) to illustrate the connections between people that have shaped Halton over the past 50 years, as part of 'Halton 50' celebrations. The performance is made possible thanks to SIF funding allocated by Halton Borough Council.
Using stories gathered from the local community, Kate Allerston and Chris Bastock (A Place for Us CIC) will curate the script for this unqiue performance piece. Delivered by the rich tones of professional storytelling Gav Cross, this will be a love letter for Halton’s 50-year relationship with its residents.
The piece focusses on the stories of people’s hopes and dreams, immigration and migration, industry and the home. It is born of, and created for, the people of Halton.
Following the performance, refreshments will be served, encouraging the community of today to come together and share their own stories of the past fifty years.
Following this launch event, the performance will commence a week-long tour around selected community venues within Halton.
