A chance to see inside Poole Guildhall where The Society for Poole will display images of the old building and talk about the development of the building and its place in the history of the town.

Poole Guildhall, a two-storey brown brick building designed in Palladian Taste style and enhanced with lime stone dressing, was built in the Coronation Year of King George III (1761). Originally used to house the administration prescribed by Queen Elizabeth I, who made Poole a County separate from Dorset.

The building has been considerably adapted but externally, all of the alterations have been sympathetic, and the elegant front elevation has been retained. The elegant Hall of Justice with its Judicial bench remains intact and is now a wedding hall.
